Van Houtum B.V. is an independent manufacturer of tissue products for 75 years and is leading in  Corporate Social Responsibility. The company distinguishes itself by a natural and deeply felt respect for people and the environment.
Products and services are supplied exclusively to the business to business market via, for example, cleaning companies and trade wholesalers for a variety of sectors, including the office sector, catering, recreation, hospitals, schools and industry. The unique guarantee service makes Van Houtum a reliable and committed partner for its clients.
Van Houtum develops innovative concepts for better toilet hygiene and a better toilet experience with exceptional environmental performances. These concepts are supported by a range of toilet paper, paper hand towels, wiping paper, etc. that are made available to the user in innovative washroom designs.
All our tissue paper is made from 100% recycled paper and the production processes comply with strict environmental standards. Our hygienic paper is accredited with the FSC-recycled label and the ECO flower label. Van Houtum is also the first tissue manufacturer in the world with a new generation of hygienic paper that is 100% biologically degradable and leaves no traces behind which can harm the environment. The production process and hygienic paper are certified in accordance with the Cradle to Cradle criteria.

Van Houtum employs about 200 staff and produces 45,000 tonnes of paper each year. Head Office and both production locations are all situated in Swalmen, in the Netherlands. The company has an annual turnover of € 60 million. Quality is firmly embedded throughout the organisation, and the many steps Van Houtum has taken to fulfill its goals with respect to Corporate Social Responsibility have led to recognition and reward from the market in recent years.
